Helen M. Marshall School started as P.S. 330. Our learning community was founded in 2010 to serve families in Corona, New York. From July 2010-August 2013 we were located in Elmhurst, New York. As a result of family advocacy, we relocated to our current home in 2013. We opened with 220 Kindergarten students and currently have over 600 students enrolled in Kindergarten through Grade 5. In 2017 we were granted the opportunity to rename our school after Helen M. Marshall--the first African American Borough president of Queens.

After conversations with family members, staff and students, we decided that Helen M. Marshall was the right namesake for our school. Through her various roles as a teacher, a founder and director of a local library and as Queens Borough President, Ms. Marshall consistently advocated for quality education and celebrated diversity. We are inspired to build on Ms. Marshall's proud legacy.
Our mission is to make sure that our students become 21st Century leaders who help our community. We do this by providing them with a rich academic foundation that includes rigorous study in the following content areas: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science. In addition, our students participate in Visual Arts, Physical Education, Dance, and Music.
Helen M. Marshall graduates will be well on their way to College and Careers they love and enjoy. They will meet and exceed the expectations that have been set forth by the Common Core Learning Standards.
